Airport Strike: The labor dispute between the Verdi union and Lufthansa, involving ground staff, continues to escalate. Verdi has called for another strike from Tuesday, 4 a.m., to Wednesday, 7:10 a.m. This strike will affect major German airports in Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn, and Stuttgart. Not only Lufthansa’s passenger transport is impacted, but also areas such as Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Cargo, for which separate strike times have been announced. A previous 27-hour strike at the beginning of February already led to significant disruptions, with around 900 of 1000 scheduled flights being canceled and approximately 100,000 passengers affected.
