This mighty castle that rises above the foot of the Swabian Jura is the ancestral seat of the imperial House of Hohenzollern, one of the most important dynasties of the former German high nobility. In German history, this represented important kings in the Kingdom of Prussia, as well as Emperors of Germany, above all the last German Emperor, Wilhelm II of Prussia. The view from the castle over the Swabian Jura is unique. Nowadays numerous celebrations and the Christmas market offer a unique medieval charm. The falconry spectacles where the birds of prey conquer the sky above the castle are a great and decisive experience.
