German Football Museum
Type: Museum
The World Cup, held in 2006, gave rise to the opening of the museum in 2015. It was financed with the income from the World Cup. The striking building in the immediate vicinity of Dortmund’s main train station now characterizes the cityscape. Included are unique features that have shaped German football. Including Adi Dassler’s (founder of Adidas) special production of the ball of the first Bundesliga season 1963/64, with all signatures of the players. The 3D cinema and many other special features give those interested in football a unique insight into German football history. The museum offers a great excursion experience.
